Those very different backgrounds are part of what makes RRG work. Mike brings the mission-focused determination and boots-on-the-ground mentality. Natalie brings years of experience in organization, communication, people, and process. Real estate became the place where their strengths finally came together.

Mike Evans

Mission focus, boots on the ground

Mike became a licensed Realtor in December 2023. Before real estate he served as an infantry Marine from 2005 to 2009, signing the papers to enlist while still a 17-year-old high school senior. After two deployments he transitioned back into civilian life and earned his associate degree in 2012.

Over the years he worked a variety of jobs, from oil field work and construction to groundskeeping, window cleaning, and FedEx delivery, and never found the career that truly felt like his. People had encouraged him for years to consider real estate, and eventually the timing and mindset aligned. He completed his real estate education in October 2023 and earned his license that December.

Natalie Evans

Organization, communication, people, and process

Natalie holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and spent more than 10 years working in HR, primarily in talent coordination and onboarding. Alongside her corporate career, she has taught Bikram yoga for 16 years.

When Mike entered real estate, Natalie naturally became involved behind the scenes, and it quickly became clear that their different strengths complemented each other. She completed her real estate education in August 2025 and became licensed in October 2025.

Born on the
side of a
mountain.

The story behind the name

Rucking Realty Group was born on the side of a mountain in West Texas in October 2024. Mike was on an aoudad sheep hunt that involved hours of hiking through some pretty unforgiving terrain. After a successful hunt, he found himself sitting on the mountain reflecting on the experience: the miles traveled, the weight carried, the obstacles along the way, and the determination it took to reach the objective.

Mike was already in real estate, and sitting there he realized how much that experience paralleled the process of buying or selling a home. Real estate can come with challenges, unexpected obstacles, and plenty of weight to carry. But much like a team ruck, you don’t have to carry it alone.

That moment turned rucking into more than a name. It became the philosophy behind how we wanted to approach real estate: work as a team, carry the weight for our clients, stay determined when things get difficult, and keep moving toward the objective together. When Mike came home and shared the idea with Natalie, it immediately clicked. We started putting the vision into action, and Rucking Realty Group was born.

Lytle is home.

Lytle isn’t simply an area where we do business. It’s home. We’ve lived here about five years and we’re raising our son here, and as RRG has grown it has become more important to us to use that growth to give back to the people and the community around us.

In September 2026 the City of Lytle celebrates its 75th anniversary alongside the annual Homecoming Night Parade: live music, vendors, food, the night parade, and a block party downtown. Rucking Realty Group is proud to be the Presenting Sponsor. We don’t just want to be a real estate company that works in the community. We want to be a business that is part of it.

How we work together

One very
connected team.

When we think about what we’re proudest of, it may actually be the partnership we’ve built together. We’ve always had a close and connected marriage, but building RRG together uncovered another side of it. We trust each other’s judgment, listen to one another, play to each other’s strengths, and often pick up and finish something the other person started without even having to discuss it.

There is very little ego between us. The focus is simply on what needs to happen next and who is best equipped to handle it. That has made us efficient, but more importantly it directly benefits our clients. They aren’t getting two Realtors working separately. They’re getting one very connected team. In a way, our own partnership became the best example of the philosophy behind the brand.

Veteran-owned

Service is
part of our story.

Rucking Realty Group is proudly veteran-owned. Mike’s service as a Marine is an important part of our story and the foundation of how RRG was built. The name itself comes from rucking: carrying weight together, pushing through difficult terrain, and continuing toward the objective as a team.

More than anything, that background shapes how we do business: teamwork, accountability, resilience, service, and not leaving someone to carry the weight alone. We work with people from all walks of life. And if you’re a veteran, on active duty, part of a military family, or a first responder, you should know right away that you have people in your corner who understand that community.
